I’m Jason, a leather crafter with a passion for handmade leather goods.   

My journey in leather craft began as a hobby to keep my hands and mind busy during the pandemic in 2020. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to chase my entrepreneurial spirit, allowing me to refine my skills and expertise, turning this hobby into a full time endeavor.    

Born and raised in Manitoba, Canada, I grew up in the small town of Oakbank and now live in Winnipeg. I enjoy taking advantage of our prairie summers, spending time with family, and getting in as many rounds of golf as possible, when I’m not developing my craft.   

I could not be where I am today without the loving support of my amazing wife. Coming up on 22 years of marriage, she has encouraged me through all of my ambitious ideas, including chasing this dream. 

I am beyond grateful for the community and friendships I’ve made throughout this journey and invite you to join me as J.A.B. Leatherworks carries forward with its mission to provide meticulously handcrafted high-quality leather goods, while preserving the artistry of traditional leatherworking techniques and embracing innovation.
